Of the many drugs used to protect plants from disease, one of the most popular is Abiga Peak. It is relatively safe and copes not only with fungal diseases, but also with some bacterial infections. Our experts have collected information about this drug and are ready to share it with you.

Appointment of Abiga-Pika

Abiga-Peak is a contact fungicide, which is used to combat a complex of fungal and bacterial diseases: oidium, bacteriosis, anthracnose, curliness, spotting, late blight, moniliosis, rust, septoria, cytosporosis, cercospora, powdery mildew, mildew, coccus mildew. , fusarium, peronosporosis, alternaria and others.

Fruit, vegetable, decorative, flower and industrial crops are processed by Abiga-Pikom. It is also used to protect medicinal and forest plants.

The main substance of the drug is copper oxychloride. This component, when interacting with the spores of the carriers of the infection, releases active copper, which inhibits their respiration and growth, thereby suppressing a large amount of proteins necessary for life in the spores of pathogens. This greatly reduces the resistance of pathogens to the drug.

To destroy the infection on plants, they are sprayed with Abiga-Peak solution, and the weather does not have much effect on its effectiveness: the main thing is that the air temperature is not lower than 9 ºC, and the wind speed is not more than 5 m / s.

The analogues of Abiga-Pik in varying degrees are Bordeaux mixture, Medex, Kurzat, Kuprozan, Oksikhom, Horus, HOM, Ordan and Kuproksat.

Benefits of the drug:

  • Abiga-Peak tightly covers the surface of the external organs of the plant due to the high dispersion of the active component;
  • the adhesive reliably fixes the composition on the leaves and stems;
  • the drug has no resistance;
  • fungicide increases the resistance of crops to fungal infections;
  • unused working solution can be stored for a long time.

Instructions for the use of Abiga-peak

The drug is available in the form of an aqueous suspension in bottles of 50, 75, 1250 g and in cans of 12.5 kg. To prepare a working solution, a dose of the drug is stirred in a small amount of water, after which the volume is adjusted with water to 10 liters with constant stirring.

It is better to spray the working solution of Abiga-Peak on plants in the evening.

Abiga-Peak can be mixed with most fungicides, insecticides and pesticides, however, a compatibility test must first be carried out by mixing the preparations in small quantities. If flakes or sediment are formed as a result of mixing, the preparations cannot be used at the same time.

If the recommended dosages are observed, Abiga-Peak is not phytotoxic. For people, warm-blooded animals and bees, the drug has a 3rd hazard class, that is, it is a low-hazard substance. Bees can be released into fungicide-treated areas 12 hours after spraying. Abiga-Peak is low-hazard for fish, therefore it is approved for use in the sanitary zone of fishery reservoirs.

When working with Abiga-Peak, you must use a gauze bandage or respirator, goggles, rubber gloves, a hat and a dressing gown. Do not eat, drink or smoke while spraying the drug. You cannot prepare the solution in a metal container or in a dish that is used for eating. Animals and children should not be present during the lead treatment. At the end of the procedure, you need to change clothes, wash your hands and face with soap, and rinse your mouth.

After providing the FIRST aid, you must immediately consult a doctor and follow his instructions! DO NOT TREAT YOURSELF!

Storage of Abiga Peak

The shelf life of the drug is 3 years from the date of manufacture. In a hermetically sealed container, Abiga-Peak can be stored at temperatures from -10 to +35 ºC out of the reach of children and animals. Keep it away from drinking water, food, and medications.

Arina: when dark spots appeared on the grape leaves, I was advised to process the vine with Abiga Peak. The result was a pleasant surprise: the drug had a good effect and, importantly, it turned out to be easy to use.

Olga: I am a summer resident with great experience, so I can safely recommend this drug for regular treatments of tomatoes, potatoes, grapes, flowers and fruit trees against any fungal diseases.

Natalia: used Abiga-Peak against late blight on nightshade crops - tomatoes and potatoes. The effect was almost instantaneous. Before that, I used Fundazol, but Abiga-Peak is much more effective.

Sergey: Abiga Peak has one drawback: it is difficult to find in the season. Therefore, I purchase it in advance. The drug does not cause addiction in pathogens, in addition, it is good not only as a therapeutic, but also as a prophylactic agent.

Oksana: our small summer cottage has a decent tomato garden. Every year we fought against late blight, but with varying success. Abiga-Peak, which our neighbors advised us, helps us a lot, and now we cope with late blight much more successfully.

General description and characteristics of the tool

"Abiga-Peak" is an easy-to-use fungicide that protects the garden and vegetable garden from various fungal and bacterial infections. This chemical agent is released in the form of a suspension, which is diluted with water in a specific dosage before use. The drug is packaged in plastic bottles and cans ranging from 50 ml to 5-10 liters. You can buy it at relatively low prices.

Composition and how it works

"Abiga-Peak" is a chemical preparation based on copper oxychloride (chloroxide). This active substance has fungicidal and bactericidal properties. It affects pathogens only through direct direct contact. Copper particles remain on the surface of plants after the solution dries and are activated in a humid environment.

The active substance inhibits conidial germination and sporulation. Copper chloroxide has a toxic effect on harmful microorganisms at the cellular level (denatures proteins, destroys enzymes).

The active substance does not penetrate into the plants and cannot cause the death of the fungi that have settled there. Copper chloroxide acts only on the surface and is active only at the initial stage of the lesion.

The protection period of the plants treated with the preparation is 10-12 days. The duration of the protective action depends, as a rule, on the meteorological conditions. The drug is resistant to temperature fluctuations, but it is washed off by rain and destroyed by alkalis (it is not recommended to use it in conjunction with soap).

Its purpose

Abiga-Peak is mainly used for the prevention and treatment of fungal diseases in horticultural crops. The drug is effective in the initial stages of the lesion. Fungicidal agent fights late blight, alternaria, spotting, cercosporosis, peronosporosis, anthracnose, real and downy mildew, scab, moniliosis and other diseases.

"Abiga-Peak" is a copper-containing preparation that is also used as a fertilizer. This remedy prevents the development of chlorosis, stimulates the growth and full development of plants, prevents wilting and falling off the tops. True, you always need to follow the instructions, use the drug in the indicated concentration. Excess copper can damage the garden and vegetable garden. It is most advisable to use this drug on sandy, peat, sod-podzolic soils. These lands are poor in copper, and a copper-containing fungicide makes up for this deficiency.

Pros and cons

What is the compatibility of the drug with other drugs

Abiga-Peak may be used in conjunction with other fungicides. The suspension does not suppress the activity of biological plant protection products. To reduce the risk of damage to crops, it is recommended that "Abiga-Peak" be used in conjunction with preparations of the dithiocarbamate group ("Mancozeb", "Tiram").

When diluting the fungicide, it is recommended to pay attention to the acidity of the water. The solution prepared on the basis of "Abiga-Peak" becomes more phytotoxic if too acidic liquid is used.

Performance indicators

Abiga-Peak protects against most crop disease-causing fungi. True, the drug acts locally. The larger the surface of the plants is covered with the solution, the better the protection. Untreated parts of garden and horticultural crops are vulnerable to fungi. The drug increases productivity by 30 percent, and reduces plant diseases by 50 percent.

Fungicide best of all fights diseases of tomatoes, grapes, apple trees. The copper contained in the solution (at the recommended concentration) does not accumulate in the soil, in a minimum amount it penetrates into berries, fruits and vegetables.

How to apply the fungicide

Plants can be treated with Abiga-peak fungicide in any weather, as long as the ambient temperature is above 9 degrees Celsius. Fungicide Abiga-peak does not lose its properties either in heat or rain. However, in strong winds, refrain from spraying.

This fungicide is also used as a prophylactic agent. Processing is allowed no more than four times per season.

This medication should not be used during flowering plants.

How to properly prepare a solution

Dilute Abiga-peak in the proportion indicated in the instructions for each type of processed plants. It is advisable to make the solution only in glassware, but it is allowed to use an enamel or plastic container. Pour the ready-made solution into the spray bottle only after thorough mixing.

Processing of vegetable crops

One of the causes of fungal diseases is the density of planting of vegetables. All these crops are usually infected with late blight, apical and root rot, alternaria, powdery mildew and bacteriosis. Untimely treatment can lead to a complete loss of the crop. Spraying with Abiga-peak solution allows to protect the plants.

For the treatment of the garden, the concentration of the fungicide per ten liters of water should be 50 ml. With such a solution, vegetables can be processed when the first signs of a disease appear, as well as for prevention.

The last treatment can be done no later than three weeks before the start of the harvest.

Your garden

Fruit trees, especially apple and pear trees, are often affected by scab. It is detected by the appearance of light spots on the leaves. Over time, they increase, become brown. Foci of the fungus are also formed on the peduncles.

Fruit trees often suffer from fruit rot. Dark spots appear on the fruits, under which the pulp rotting soon begins.

A solution of the fungicide Abiga-peak allows you to save the garden not only from the above diseases, but also from clusterosporiosis, coccomycosis, curliness.

To treat fruit trees, 25 ml of fungicide should be dissolved in five liters of water.

Grapes often suffer from fungal infection, as moisture accumulates in the density of its foliage, which serves as a favorable condition for the development of fungal spores. The most common grape diseases are powdery mildew, anthracnose, black spot. In a rainy summer, the threat of these infections increases many times.

To prevent and combat diseases, Abiga-peak solution is prepared at the rate of 40 ml of concentrate per 10 liters of water. This should be used to spray the vine abundantly.

Vineyards can be sprayed up to six times per season, but spraying should be completed three weeks before harvest. The minimum permissible spraying interval should be at least two weeks.

Purely for the sake of prevention, vineyards are cultivated only twice a season. The first time this is done in early spring, when the buds swell. The second time, prevention is carried out in August.

Fungal diseases in strawberries are usually caused by cold or very wet weather. The disease manifests itself in the form of white or brown spots on the leaves. Most often, strawberries are exposed to white or brown spotting. Under its influence, the harvest is poor, and the berries are small, the growth of bushes is greatly slowed down.

To combat white or brown spots, take 50 ml of concentrate per 10 liters of water. It is important that the lower surface of the leaves is also sprayed.

When berries appear until they are completely harvested, the fungicide cannot be used. For the prevention of strawberry beds, you can process the first time before flowering, and the second time after the end of the harvest.

Garden, as well as indoor, flowers are also susceptible to fungal diseases. Roses especially often suffer from them. The fungus causes at first the unsightly appearance of the plants, and later their death.

  1. To prepare 10 liters of solution, 40 ml of Abiga-peak concentrate is required.
  2. For prevention, garden or indoor flowers are sprayed twice over the summer.
  3. On plants affected by the fungus, before starting treatment, all leaves with signs of the disease should be cut off.
  4. Indoor flowers spray only outdoors, and you can bring them home no earlier than a day after spraying.
